Cannot create an internal source server on LUA

When I add a source server it says it is unreachable. It is the same server that SEPM and LU is on. I entered the name of the server, priority 1, IP for server, nothing in the root directory*, login and password of a user in the admin group, HTTP port 80.
* What goes in this field? when I type a path it says to use only alphanumeric characters, underscores, or hyphens

the LUA server- source server should not be changed until it is conecting to symantec liveupdate to fetch the definitions.
Source server is the one where you get the definitions from.
You may need to create a distribution center.
