I am thinking about upgrading our SEPM servers to MR5. If you have upgraded to MR5 how did the upgrade go?
What were the issues you ran into?
How did you upgrade the clients to MR5?
Did you use the SEPM to upgrade the clients?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Day in and out people are

Day in and out people are migrating to RU5 1 because it fixes many issues and other the new GUP feature.
Even on the forum there hasn't been much issue posted about what went wrong after upgrade but more questions have been on how to..
The easiest way to upgrade Clients would be through assigning packages...only if they are on low bandwidth WAN then you can think about using other options.

I have seen 2 issues with

I have seen 2 issues with upgrade to RU5, and  both have been notified

1.  Quckbooks not working after upgrade to RU 5

https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/sep-1105002333-client-and-quickbooks-20072008

2. I have seen few cases where the Management server configuration wizard is not  populating after  an upgrade to RU5. Running the repair also doesn’t help. When we try to lunch the Management server configuration wizard from All program , nothing happens. Running upgrade.bat too has no impact.

So whenever you are doing a Migration to RU5 , Please take the back up of the dataabase.

The clients can be upgraded from SEPM using the upgrade groups with package feature
